WHAT’S #JAFAC?

JAFAC is a number of hand-picked (by us) inspiring speakers from a variety of backgrounds and industries, that we want to hear speak. Mixed with a hundred or so attendees, great food, friendly people and plenty of room to mingle, it never fails to deliver engaging conversations and delightful interactions.

It’s a mix of speakers, workshops and Lightning Talk sessions. Full engagement mode!

#JAFAC has grown from its Agile roots, evolving to encompass the adaptive and innovative workplaces of today.

The theme of this year’s JAFAC is “Reimagining Agile - Back to the Basics, Forward to the Future”. Together with the global Reimagining Agile movement we are looking to explore the world of work, meeting our curiosity with stories and provocations. In different industries, and across organisations. Looking inside and outside the realm of Agile and seeing where there are possibilities.

This is a small conference. But the impact will be huge.

WHO’S IT FOR?

For creatives, for innovators, for Agile and non-Agile practitioners. For people who want to make a difference, for disruptors and do-ers. For people who are into redesigning organisations, growing great teams, expanding horizons, solving meaty problems, and reinventing the future. For leaders and thinkers and curious minds.

It’s NOT for people who want to ask 'so what is Agile?' or people who want to sell something.

WHAT’S IN IT FOR ME?

You get to spend a couple of days indulging in general geekery, in learning new things and challenging all the things. You get to hang with like-minded people - and with different-minded people. You’ll get new ideas and inspiration and hear different perspectives. You’ll make new friends and rediscover old ones.

You’ll be part of putting New Zealand on the global stage as we combine our ideas, discussions and minds for the Reimagining Agile workshop.

2024 speakers

We are putting together the programme for 2024. Tapping into our vast and amazing local talent, we seek people with new and intriguing stories to tell and ideas to share.

The range of speakers helps to extend the boundaries of our thinking, and to cross pollinate with different industries and disciplines.

For the first time in 2024 we’ll have workshops, taking some extended time to learn about and discuss a few different topics. The workshops will be focused on Lean Agile Procurement, Reimagining Agile, and Business Agility.
