No Matter What the Future Brings

These 6 words are the heart of business agility - but they are also an invitation. Does your organization have the freedom, flexibility, and resilience to achieve its purpose - no matter what the future brings? The prospect of business agility can be daunting. Your product development organization has made great progress in Agile, but recently is seeing diminishing returns from their investment. And now the CEO says she’s read about business agility in HBR, the COO wants a new operating model to increase efficiency, HR is asking about the impact to the performance management system, and the finance folks don’t see how it applies to them despite taking 9-months to approve a budget change. And to complicate matters; it is a continuum. The question is not whether you have it, but how much do you have? And is it enough?

WORKSHOP

Business Agility:  Everything, Everywhere, All at Once

Everything. Everywhere. All at Once. Award winning film? Or just another day at work?

In Everything, Everywhere All at Once (EEAAO), the writing and directing team of Daniel Scheinart and Dan Kim explores the challenges of Evelyn - an overloaded woman juggling a struggling business, a failing marriage, and a never-ending tax audit.  At stake is survival of the world.

Yep.  Sounds a lot like just another day at work.

So where does this leave those of us changing organizations?  Business agility certainly seems to be an exercise in “everything, everywhere, all at once.” The scope of what we are undertaking can be overwhelming.  In business agility - the system is far bigger than a team, a team of teams, a function, or even your business in isolation.  The journey’s are as unique as any of the iterations of the universes in EEAAO. The skills necessary to successfully navigate the road ahead may still need to be acquired but anything is possible and everything we do matters. The story of business agility has no ending. Our choices determine our direction and we are the authors of the chapters to come.

Building on Evan's presentation from earlier in the day, join us for an interactive workshop that explores what it takes to change an organization? And how to manage Everything, Everywhere, All at Once in order to achieve your purpose, no matter what the future brings.
