In her academic career, she delved into 19th-century literature, uncovering societal impacts and amplifying underrepresented voices, particularly those of women. This deep dive into the humanities honed her critical thinking and analytical skills while nurturing a profound appreciation for storytelling and the human experience.

Recognising the gap between academia and the evolving landscape of innovation, Kirby-Jane transitioned to roles in research management and commercialisation. Reimagining Agile: Drawing Inspiration from Forgotten Stories

In the quest to reimagine agile, it's helpful to draw inspiration not just from the present, but from the forgotten narratives of the past. Marie Corelli is a bestselling novelist you've probably never heard of, who, despite slipping into obscurity, left behind a treasure trove of insights into the nature of innovation and experimentation.

Corelli's story serves as a testament to the enduring value of curiosity and bold experimentation. Her literary endeavours were marked by fearless exploration of new forms and engagement with cutting-edge scientific theories and societal changes.

Remarkably, Corelli passed away in 1924, yet her legacy resurfaces as a subject of discussion in 2024. By delving into Corelli's forgotten narrative, we can unearth valuable lessons on resilience and adaptation that resonate deeply with the ethos of agile practices. Her willingness to challenge conventional norms and embrace the unknown offers a poignant reminder of the importance of embracing change and fostering a culture of innovation.
